What is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)?
A versatile self applied stress reduction tool. Involving tapping on acupressure points whilst talking though something that holds emotional charge for us.It’s a little like traditional talking therapy but with the added element of tapping.Tapping the acupressure points helps to calm our stress response and enables us to face and accept ourselves and all of our emotions and ultimately let go of those that aren’t serving any more.How can it help me?
It can bring freedom from stress, anxiety, unwanted triggers, negative emotional states or memories that are currently interfering with your life.Acknowledging what you’re feeling is the first step towards releasing it and ultimately having emotional freedom.Tapping the accupressure points helps keep the body out of fight or flight whilst we process difficult emotions.What can EFT help with?

You come to the session with something you’d like to shift or let go of. That could be anything from general stress and anxiety, a feeling, a memory or a habit.I’ll help you reflect on it and hold the space for you to acknowledge how you’re feeling whilst guiding you through the EFT tapping points.It’s a gentle yet very powerful process and we work as a team throughout.Can I book a call to talk to you?

I offer group tapping programmes tailored to your area of need.Tapping in a group on a shared issue/topic works well and it can be a very cost effective affordable way to help multiple people at once. It has the benefits of peer support and community. Together we release negative emotions and feel empowered and stronger.Often we’re all feeling very similar things and it can be very cathartic to realise we’re not alone!Can I book a group taster?
Yes, I offer tapping taster sessions for groups working on a common issue together. That way you can feel the magic of tapping for yourselves and leave the session with another tool in your emotional health toolbelts.The one hour taster session is roughly split into twenty minute sections:1. An introduction to what tapping is, how it works and some free resources so you can use tapping on your own whenever helpful2. A share circle where participants are invited to share something they’re finding hard (there’s no pressure to speak if this doesn’t feel comfortable)3. My StoryWhen I first tried Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) I was sceptical, but I was amazed by the shift that happened within me in a single session.I used it with a therapist on a memory I had. It wasn’t a particularly traumatic one, but it was a visceral memory and one that I’d think about whenever something reminded me of it. When it popped into my head I’d be back in the moment, triggered, feeling the emotions in my body.After just 30 minutes of tapping on it and giving myself the space to look at it and really acknowledge how that event made me feel, and accept that those emotions and feelings had been real, it was like the charge was gone from the memory.I remembered the emotions but I no longer felt them throughout my whole body, I no longer re-lived them every time the memory popped into my head!I realised the power of the technique and I’ve been hooked since then.Professional BackgroundBefore deciding to retrain as an EFT Practitioner I worked in the NHS in Clinical Genetics.I have a fascination with the brain and healing and how to live, and help others live more joyfully… it really is a passion for me.
